The tax forms are mailed by January 31. The libraries receive the tax forms by early to mid-February.
Library staff will work hard to make sure the form(s) you need will be available but we are not trained to provide answers on what forms to use or how to fill them out.
For assistance, visit the State Department of Taxation’s website for Hawaii tax forms, to check a refund status, or call the State Department of Taxation, Monday – Friday from 7:45am – 4:00pm, except on state holidays.

The Form 1040 and 1040-SR as well as other forms and publications can be downloaded from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) website or ordered by calling 1-800-TAX-FORM (1-800-829-3676).
If you need tax help, call 1-800-829-4477 for recorded tax information, or call 1-800-829-1040 to speak with an IRS taxpayer assistance representative.
For Federal refund status, use the Check My Refund Status tool on the IRS Refunds page or call 1-800-829-1954 to use the automated system. You may also call 1-800-829-1040 to speak with an agent.
For an income of $79,000 or less, the Guided Tax Preparation software products are available free of charge on the IRS website. For those with income above $79,000, only the Free File Fillable Forms, electronic versions of forms, are available for free.
