Welcome to the Lihue Public Library! We are the largest library on Kauai, located in central Lihue within walking distance of many State and County buildings. Designed by architect Stephen Oyakawa, our 22,300 sq. ft. building is distinguished by its arc-shaped roof and lava rock walls. We serve as the regional library and Federal Depository for Kauai. In 2013, our library underwent extensive ADA renovations with facility upgrades and improvements.
