Science @ Your Library presents: Renewable Energy for Kauai with Brad Rockwell

Brad Rockwell, Power Supply Manager for Kauai Island Utility Cooperative, specializes in the development of KIUC-owned renewable projects . Mr. Rockwell holds a B.S. in Marine Engineering from the U.S. Naval Academy, an Executive MBA from UH’s Shidler College of Business, and is a licensed Professional Engineer (mechanical) in the state of Hawaii. He has been instrumental in leading KIUC’s renewable power supply transformation from 8% to 55%, and is currently working toward KIUC’s strategic goal of 70% renewables by 2030.
For this installment of Science @ Your Library, Mr. Rockwell will focus on different types of renewable energy, discussing which types are best suited for Kauai, and how they are different. Please join us for this 30 minute program with Q & A to follow.
