For centuries, we’ve known that the health of the brain and the body are connected. But now, science is able to provide insights into how lifestyle choices may help you keep your brain and body healthy as you age. Humberto Blanco, the Regional Coordinator of Kauai for the Alzheimer’s Aloha Chapter, will be presenting this education program by the Alzheimer’s Association.
Please join us at Lihue Public Library to learn about research in the areas of diet and nutrition, exercise, cognitive activity and social engagement, and learn practical tips to help you incorporate these recommendations into a plan for healthy aging.
Mr. Blanco has worked as a program director and project organizer for both organizations and private businesses since coming to Hawaii. He has also worked as a consultant for a Panamanian retreat center, as well as a director for non-profit organizations and UN-related international non-governmental organizations.
If you need an auxiliary aid/service or other accommodation due to a disability, please contact the library at least 7 days prior to the program date. We will make every attempt to fulfill all requests for accommodations. All programs are subject to change. For a list of upcoming library events, visit test-library.ehawaii.gov/events.
