Each year, Hawai’i Opera Theatre produces a 45-minute mini-opera specifically designed to take “on tour” to schools all around the state.  We are fortunate that they have offered to share their performance with library audiences.  Please join us on Monday, January 22, 2024 at 5:00 pm in the Lihue Library Juvenile Area for the Hawaii Opera Theatre’s Opera Express performance of “The Curse of Lou Ling”.

An unknown prince has traveled to the kingdom of Lou Ling to win the hand of the princess, but to win her hand, he must answer three riddles. Winning makes him a king…lose, and he’s lost everything. Don’t miss this opera which features some of Pucciniʻs most thrilling music.

Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service for effective communication, or a modification of policies or procedures to participate in a program, service or activity should contact library staff as soon as possible. Advance requests 48 hours or more before the event are encouraged, but not required. All programs are subject to change.
