Members of the Kauai “Live Poets’ Society” (LPS) invite future members & visiting poets to attend the FREE meeting in the Conference Room of the Lihue Public Library.
Those attending should bring 10-12 copies of a work in progress for the evening’s sharing/critique, and writing materials. The March prompt is: Pluck a blossom or leaf: study it as a botanical specimen, sketch and describe in detail, then write for 10 minutes about wherever your mind takes you. Following the group sharing, part 2 of the February Beyond Words exercise will be the focus.
LPS members would also like to invite the community to a public reading of original works on April 15, 2020 at 5:30 p.m. in the main room of Lihue Public Library.
The Kauai “Live Poets’ Society” is a gathering of poets for the purpose of enjoying the process of reading/writing poems together. The group meets monthly at Lihue Public Library under the guidance of Kauai poet and author, Dawn Fraser Kawahara, DBA TropicBird Press, and in partnership with Lihue Public Library.
If you need an auxiliary aid/service or other accommodation due to a disability, please contact the library at least 7 days prior to the program date.
