Attend a free virtual event as we kick off December’s NASA@My Library James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) Reading Challenge!
Dr. Laurie Rousseau-Nepton, resident astronomer at the Canada-France-Hawaii Telescope, will highlight the unique features of NASA’s next great space science observatory, including its amazing 6.5 meter-wide mirror made of gold! She also will share how the JWST’s exploration of fundamental questions about the universe, stars, galaxies, planets, and other worlds around us might impact science on Earth and in Hawaii. Canadian-born Dr. Rousseau-Nepton is the first woman from the First Nation of Canada to earn a Ph.D. in Astronomy.
The Zoom event is suitable for ages 9+.
Registration is required.
