To commemorate the 50th anniversary of the McCully-Moiliili Public Library, there will be a free film screening of Under the Blood-Red Sun. Following the screening, the library will offer a discussion including author Graham Salisbury and director Tim Savage.
Under the Blood-Red Sun is a coming of age story set in Hawaii during the events surrounding the attack of Pearl Harbor. Turning 25 this year, the book has been a mainstay read for local youth since its publication and is part of classroom curriculum across the country.
If you need an auxiliary aid/service or other accommodation due to a disability, please contact the library at least 7 days prior to the program date. We will make every attempt to fulfill all requests for accommodations. All programs are subject to change.
