July 10, 2024 @ 5:15 pm - 6:15 pm

Join us for a fun workshop designed to enhance childrens’ literacy by equipping parents and educators of young children with storytelling and story reading skills. Mark Jeffers, founder of Storytime Theatre of Hanapepe, Kauaʻi, will share from his wealth of experience- over 40 years! Mr. Jeffers holds a master’s degree in education with a focus in early childhood from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa. He is a regular visitor to Moloka’i as “Captain Mark” with his traveling classroom of inflatable marine animals.

Mr. Jeffers will also be hosting story time, featuring Frances the Tiger Shark, earlier in the day at 1:30 PM and on Thursday morning, 7/11 at 9:00 AM.

Presented with generous support from the Friends of Molokai Public Library.

Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service for effective communication, or a modification of policies or procedures to participate in a program, service, or activity should contact library staff as soon as possible. Advance requests 48 hours or more before the event are encouraged, but not required. All programs are subject to change. See a schedule of upcoming events at librarieshawaii.org/events.
