Throwback Thursday Movie Night : Boyhood of Kamehameha

Join us for a Throwback Movie Night on the Heleakalā Lawn to watch “Boyhood of Kamehameha” directed by George Tahara. “Boyhood of Kamehameha” follows the daily life of Kamehameha the Great from birth to adolescence. This movie is part of Taraha’s Hawaiian Legends series and scenes from the movie were filmed on Hawaiʻi Island in the actual locations of Kamehameha’s childhood. Also, learn about  ʻUluʻulu: The Henry Kuʻualoha Giugni Moving Image Archives of Hawaiʻi, the new home of the Taraha film collection.
