The original Christmas tree is a pattern you can see in the night sky. Ancient winter-solstice celebrations of the “World Tree,” along with legends of far northern reindeer people, were absorbed into our Christmas festivities as Christ’s birth date was not recorded in the Bible. In this talk-story, illustrated program, Harriet offers nature-based alternatives to the commercialization of this special season.
