Through intensive conservation efforts 20 Alala, the endemic and endangered Hawaiian crow once considered to be extinct in the wild, have been reintroduced to native Hawaiian forests. Rachel Kingsley, the Education and Outreach Associate for the Alala Project, will provide information about this unique species, an update on the birds that have been reintroduced including behavioral observations, as well as plans for future reintroduction efforts of the Alala. Please join us to learn more about this highly intelligent and unique crow species, integral to native Hawaiian ecoystems and culture.
