June 13, 2024 @ 1:30 pm - 3:00 pm

Storyteller Kristiana Kahakauwila

What superpower do you wish you had?
What strengths and skills are already yours?

In this storytelling workshop with Kristiana Kahakauwila, young writers will write and/or illustrate a scene where their superpower gets used, perhaps with unexpected results.

This program is best suited for ages 9-15. Supplies will be provided.

Space is limited. Call (808) 831-6831 or stop by the Info Desk to sign up.

About the presenter:
Kristiana Kahakauwila is the author of the middle grade novel Clairboyance (HarperCollins, May 2024) and the short story collection This is Paradise (Hogarth, July 2013). She is the Director of the Creative Writing program at the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa. If she could have any superpower, she would choose to breathe underwater.

Advance requests 48 hours or more before the event are encouraged, but not required. All programs are subject to change. See a schedule of upcoming events at librarieshawaii.org/events.
