In celebration of the 2019 Summer Reading Program, Maui’s Holoholo Bookmobile and the University of Hawaii’s Institute for Astronomy will be hosting a Star Party on Friday, July 12th from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.

View the night sky with members of the Haleakalā Amateur Astronomers, take a tour of the Universe with the Institute for Astronomy, and learn about the Sun with the National Solar Observatory. The Holoholo Bookmobile will be open for tours and giving out Summer Reading incentives, making library cards, checking out library materials, and offering a free craft. Attendees can enter to win a telescope, funded by the Maui Friends of the Library.
