“Libraries Rock!” is the theme of the 2018 Summer Reading Program and the Thelma Parker Memorial Public Library has planned a rockin’ musically-themed, family friendly kick-off event. Attendees will enjoy a variety of games and activity stations, including Musical Chairs (with a twist), Sponge Bomb Toss, and up-cycled instrument making, followed by the formation of a marching band that will parade in and out of the library!
The 2018 Summer Reading Program is offered at all 51 public libraries statewide and runs from June 2 through July 14. The program is designed for all readers, from keiki to kupuna. To register and log reading minutes from June 2, visit test-library.ehawaii.gov or visit any of the 51 public libraries statewide.
All programs are subject to change. If you require an auxiliary aid or accommodation due to a disability, please contact the library at least 7 days before the program date.
