Spot the Ant, Stop the Ant – Documentary Film and Presentation

November 21, 2016 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Spot the Ant, Stop the Ant

See the new documentary “Fire! Little Fire Ants in Hawaii.”  Learn why Little Fire Ants are so damaging and how you can help protect your family, pets, and community by testing.

The little fire ant (LFA) is a new, invasive, stinging ant that will spread across the Hawaiian Islands if we don’t take action now.   Our library is partnering with the Oahu Invasive Species Committee (OISC) to provide FREE test kits to the community, while supplies last. Residents may obtain a test kit during the library’s business hours. Completed test kits may also be returned to this library location.

For more information on the “Spot the Ant, Stop the Ant” campaign, visit http://www.oahuisc.org/october-is-spot-the-ant-stop-the-ant-month-in-hawaii/.
