The electrifying musician Lou Marini will present a one-hour lecture-demonstration with well-known local musician Bruce Hamada at the Aina Haina Public Library!
Lou Marini is currently touring with James Taylor and the Blues Brothers Band, and is one of the most sought after session horn players on saxophone, flute, and clarinet. An original member of the Blues Brothers Band, he appeared in both Blues Brothers movies and continues to play on their worldwide tours, and has also performed as a member of Blood, Sweat and Tears and The Saturday Night Live Band. Other recording credits include working with Eric Clapton, Aretha Franklin, Tony Bennett, Stevie Wonder, Diana Ross, Aerosmith, The Rolling Stones and Steely Dan.
The concert will be held in the Children’s area of the library and is suitable for all ages. This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Aina Haina Public Library, and is a production of the UH Manoa Outreach College’s Statewide Cultural Extension Program.
