Come join the fun as we create fun and healthy snacks in the library. First up: Let’s celebrate the health energy snack invented by California surfers in 1968. Trail mix is an ideal handy snack food because it is very lightweight, easy to store, nutritious and provides a quick energy boost from the carbohydrates in the dried fruits or granola as well as sustained energy from the fats in the nuts. We’ll use a variety of ingredients to make the perfect tasting healthy snack. Other events in this series occur Oct 23 and Jan 15, 2019.
