Young Walter is dropped off for the summer at his great-uncles’ house in Texas by his irresponsible mother, Mae. Rumor has it that Hub & Garth, Walter’s great uncles, have an enormous hidden treasure. (Some say they stole it from Al Capone.) They tell him fantastic stories of what they were up to while they went missing in their youth. Walter is never sure what is fact and what is fantasy, but learns to make his own decisions. Rated PG., runs 1 hour and 49 minutes, in the Library’s first floor reading room.
