Rocking the World with Stories

June 23, 2018 @ 10:30 am - 11:15 am

Storyteller Vicky Dworkin

Celebrate the 2018 Summer Reading Program!

Storyteller Vicky Dworkin will share multicultural folktales from around the world featuring stones, rocks, caves, jewels, and mountains. Children will choose from her Magic Story Box to determine which stories she will tell. Vicky is a retired children’s librarian at the Hawaii State Library and is a long time storyteller.

This 45-minute program is suitable for ages 4 & older. Young children must be accompanied by a parent or caregiver.

Sponsored by the Friends of the Library of Hawai‘i and the 2018 Summer Reading Sponsors. This is a production of the University of Hawaii at Manoa Outreach College’s Statewide Cultural Extension Program with additional funding and support provided by the National Endowment for the Arts, Hawaii State Foundation on Culture and the Arts, and the University of Hawaii.

All programs are subject to change. If you require an auxiliary aid or accommodation due to a disability, please contact the library at least 7 days before the program date.
