NEW DATE – Halau o Ko’olauloa Community Center and Resilience Hub

Please join us as two local community leaders – Fran Palama and Dotty Kelly-Paddock – share more about the soon-to-be designed Halau o Ko’olauloa Community Center and Resilience Hub in Hau’ula.

  • Unanimously supported by the Ko’olauloa Neighborhood Board in 2014,
  • Now included as Action #15 in the Oahu Resilience Strategy approved in May 2019,
  • Will serve the community of Ko’olauloa on a daily basis, and
  • Will serve the community in emergencies/disasters by providing: Power/Food/Water/Health Security
  • Will be Hurricane resilient to Category 5 and out of Tsunami Zone
  • Will Shelter 1,500-2,000 community members
  • To be located on 5 Acre parcel in Hau’ula

Come and learn more about emergency preparedness and how to get involved, provide input and find out how we can all work together to make this happen!

Refreshments will be provided by the Friends of the Library Kahuku.
