Feeling nervous about reading aloud? Practice your reading skills by reading aloud to a therapy dog! Hawaiʻi State Library will have two dogs from K9 Therapets on June 14th from 10 am to 12 pm. Children can take turns reading to the dogs. The time spent reading can be counted toward your summer reading minutes! Open to children of all ages, children under 5 must be accompanied by an adult. Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service for effective communication, or a modification of policies or procedures to participate in a program, service or activity should contact library staff as soon as possible. Advance requests 48 hours or more before the event are encouraged, but not required.
