Experienced gardener and pruner, Diana Duff is presenting this free in-depth gardening class for the Community Seed Library. Participants will learn about the best pruning tools and how to use them. She’ll cover what to prune, when to prune and ways to prune to improve your garden’s health and appearance.
Diana has years of experience pruning and teaching pruning. She has taught in the UH Master Gardener and the Certified Landscape Technician programs for many years. She did her own pruning for 20 years on her farm and has written gardening columns for West Hawai’i Today for the last 15 years.
She admits that pruning is her favorite gardening activity partly because it is a combination of art and science and because a knowledgeable pruner has absolute control of the outcome.
The Community Seed Library is generously sponsored by the Friends of the Libraries, Kona (FOLK). All programs are subject to change. If you require an auxiliary aid or accommodation due to a disability, please contact the library at least 7 days before the program date.
