Due to the current guidance from public health officials regarding social distancing and in the interest of protecting the communities we serve, as of Monday, March 16, 2020, we are cancelling all programs and events for the rest of the month of March, including tech classes, story times, Tax Help, book clubs and other events. The Library has also cancelled all Bookmobile service. All external meetings scheduled in any HSPLS meeting room will be cancelled or rescheduled.

Need help paying for Preschool? Preschool Open Doors (POD) provides monthly preschool tuition subsidies to qualified families. Parents may choose any DHS-licensed preschool.  Applications accepted for children born August 1, 2015 through July 31, 2016. (for program participation from July 1, 2020-June 30, 2021). For more information, staff from Preschool Open Doors will be available to assist interested applicants at Waipahu Public Library on the following dates:

Thursday, February 13: 10:00am-11:30am
Thursday, March 19: 10:00am-11:30am

Applications will be available, or you may download a copy at www.patchhawaii.org. Completed applications will be accepted by POD staff. Call POD Oahu at 791-2130.
