The Honolulu Department of Emergency Management (DEM), the NOAA International Tsunami Information Center (ITIC) and  the Hawaii State Public Library System are partnering to preserve historic images and personal  recollections that people may have from any tsunami experience here in Hawaii.  Residents willing to share images and stories with the Oahu Historical Tsunami Photo Project are asked to bring them to the Aina Haina Public Library auditorium.  The DEM and ITIC staff will scan and catalog the images.

To view existing images or submit online, visit www.tsunamiphotos.org.

Program schedule is subject to change.  Contact the library 10 days in advance to request a sign language interpreter or if special accommodations are needed.
