Moons, Moons, Everywhere

February 21, 2018 @ 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm

Astronomy Galaxy

Our solar system is extensively studied with telescopes on Maunakea and other sites around the world, to probes sent into space. One surprising result has been the discovery of over 170 moons, and the numbers continue to climb. But the moons of our neighbors are very different from our moon, as well as from each other. Find out about the latest discoveries in this discussion presented by the Astronomer Bo Reipurth (University of Hawaii, Institute for Astronomy).

Please join us at Hilo Public Library on February 21 to find out more!
