Mo’olelo – We Want Your Stories – Story Circles

June 26, 2024 @ 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm

2024 HSPLS Summer Reading Challenge logo

Here at Waianae Public Library that is exactly what we are hoping for, your stories.  We are inviting you to join us at the library to participate in a story telling circle every Wednesday in June and July. We have invited a different guest host each week to get things started with one of their own story’s.  Then we invite you to share a story with those community members who are in the circle. If you want to just listen you are welcome too!

Here is the line up for JUNE 26: LEI’A HAFF

Lei’a Haff, who is a nationally recognized marketing specialist, is a proud entrepreneur who wears many hats. She grew up in Makaha Valley and specializes in marketing, communications, and PR. Lei’a works with various companies in Hawai’i and across the continent. She is the founder of a newly emerging nonprofit, Keiki On The Rocks, an organization dedicated to serving keiki, parents, and teachers in Hawai’i. Lei’a has also recently published her first children’s book, “The Girl & The Ocean”, in 2024. She is a proud Makaha Hawaiian Civic Club and Waianae Rotary Member. You can often spot Lei’a in the community helping our youth and kupuna.

Join Lei’a in her storytelling circle as she discusses how to navigate being a young entrepreneur from Wai’anae.

Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service for effective communication, or a modification of policies or procedures to participate in a program, service, or activity should contact library staff as soon as possible.  Advance requests 48 hours or more before the event are encouraged, but not required.  Program schedule is subject to change.
