Maui’s Native Forest Birds and Their Habitat

Forest Birds

Learn about Maui’s rare and unique forest birds during a free multimedia presentation by Laura Berthold. Many of Maui’s forest birds are found nowhere else in the world! Learn about these birds, their native habitat, and the Maui Forest Bird Recovery Project’s initiatives to help them through this one-hour presentation.

Laura Berthold is an ornithologist who has worked for the Maui Forest Bird Recovery Project since 2009.

Program schedule is subject to change. Contact the library (10 days for Oahu; 15 days for neighbor islands) in advance to request a sign language interpreter or if special accommodations are needed.
