Martian Geology: Core Sampling Cup Cakes

July 13, 2019 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Planets and books

Join us for a children’s summer reading program with a special presentation by Kyla Edison.  Kyla is the Geology and Material Science Technician for PISCES (Pacific Information Space Center for Exploration Services).  Learn how geologists study what’s beneath our feet and how it could one day apply to Mars exploration while eating cupcakes!   Kyla will conduct a presentation and an activity that involves vegan cupcakes*.   This program is free and suitable for all ages. Registering is recommended due to a limited supply of the cupcakes. Please register at the children’s reference desk. *Items are not gluten free.

If you need an auxiliary aid/service or other accommodation due to a disability, please contact the library at least 7 days prior to the program date. We will make every attempt to fulfill all requests for accommodations. All programs are subject to change. For a list of upcoming library events, visit test-library.ehawaii.gov/events
