What is Mediation? Mediation is an informal, confidential process that provides landlords and tenants with the opportunity to talk through their differences with the assistance of an impartial third-party (the mediator). Before the situation escalates, the mediator helps landlords and tenants negotiate customized solutions. This process is available at no cost to either party.
The Mediation Center of the Pacific (MCP) will explain how mediation works, and how to access these services to help resolve disputes quickly and cost effectively. No reservations are required. For more information about MCP, visit www.mediatehawaii.org or call 521-6767.
