Come to Wahiawa Public Library for Saturday morning Lego Club and see where creativity can take you! Participants will be given a creative prompt or challenge and a box of Legos to see what they can come up with. Completed creations are displayed in our glass case at the library’s front entrance or throughout the Children’s Room when possible.
The American Institute of Architects (AIA Honolulu) has partnered with Wahiawa Public Library to bring volunteer architects to help Lego Club participants with design principles and to answer any questions children might have about design and architecture. Volunteers will attend depending on the their schedules; their presence at the event is not a guarantee.
This event is part of the library’s Kids’ Hour on Saturdays starting at 10am. Programming schedule rotates monthly. Kids’ Hour is most appropriate for ages 3 to 10, but all children and families are welcome. Duplos are available for toddlers on request. Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
All programs are subject to change. Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service for effective communication, or a modification of policies or procedures to participate in a program, service, or activity should contact library staff as soon as possible. Advance requests 48 hours or more before the event are encouraged, but not required.
