2023 is officially the Year of the Kāhuli (Hawaiian land snails). A specialist from the State Department of Land and Natural Resources’ Forestry & Wildlife Division will share information about these beautiful jewels of the forest. See a display of various Kāhuli shells, go on a virtual field trip to the Snail Extinction Prevention lab, get a glimpse of the forests where these snails live, and view a brief screening of the new, award-winning documentary “Kāhuli.”
