In celebration of the 2023 Summer Reading Challenge!
Jeff Peterson presents a program of soothing guitar music! His tunes celebrates Polynesian navigation by stars, Maui’s Haleakalā mountain sky where he grew up, stories of his grandfather lecturing at the Bishop Museum Planetarium, and original music including “Hawaiian Skies” from “The Descendants” film soundtrack. This program is suitable for all ages.
Recognized as one of Hawai‘i’s most versatile musicians, Jeff is at the heart of the Hawaiian music scene today. His passion for the guitar has allowed him to shine as a solo artist and has given him the opportunity to collaborate with a wide variety of artists from Hawai‘i and across the world.
Sponsored by the Friends of the Library of Hawai‘i. This is a production of the University of Hawaii at Mānoa Outreach College’s Statewide Cultural Extension Program with additional funding provided by the National Endowment for the Arts, Hawai‘i State Foundation on Culture and the Arts, and the University of Hawai‘i.
