Into the Darkness: Deep Sea Ocean Exploration

Join Papahanaumokuakea Marine National Monument education coordinator Andy Collins as he shares observations and discoveries from a recent deep sea research expedition to the mid-Pacific Mountains, Necker Ridge, and the Northwestern Hawaiian Islands. Andy will share some amazing images and videos from underwater mountain ranges more than a mile beneath the surface and talk about technology used to explore Earth’s last frontier.
