This summer, celebrate the myriad ways that libraries rock! Join us for a series of events during our 2018 Summer Reading Program!
Children in Kindergarten through 5th grade are invited to learn a hula with Kupuna Ford and her ‘ohana of musicians and hula dancers. Participants will learn to hula and sing the mele (song), and will also learn the significance of the hula in Hawaiian culture.
This program is limited to the first 20 participants. Paper tickets will be given out in the Children’s Section by Ms. Jen the Children’s Librarian 15 minutes prior to the beginning of the program (9:45 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.). Tickets will be given out on a first-come, first-served basis, and priority will be given to students within the appropriate age-range.
Children must be accompanied by a parent or an adult caregiver.
All programs are subject to change. If you require an auxiliary aid or accommodation due to a disability, please contact the library at least 7 days before the program date.
