Did you know that there is a surprisingly close link between keeping our community safe from climate change and bird conservation? Find out more as Helen Raine presents about Kaua`i’s endangered waterbirds.

Helen Raine is the Hawai`i Conservation Coordinator for Pacific Birds Habitat Joint Venture. Pacific Birds focuses on wetlands across the Hawaiian Islands, working with partners to increase the acreage and quality of wetland habitat for native and migratory birds. Helen has worked in conservation for over 19 years in England, Malta, Peru, Zambia and Hawaiʻi. She has an MSc in Conservation from University College London.

Refreshments will be served after the presentation courtesy of the Friends of the Hanapēpē Public Library.
