Join us for an artistic science experience with local naturalist Dr. Jeffrey Hill. Dr. Hill will host a discussion about Hawaiian reef fish, why they look the way they do, and how to portray them in art. Participants will paint a butterfly fish model made from papier-mache using brushes and water-based paint.

Program is suitable for ages 7-11. Children must be accompanied by a parent or an adult caregiver. Program is limited to 8 participants & participants are encouraged to wear paint-friendly clothing. Please RSVP online at test-library.ehawaii.gov or pick up a standby paper ticket the day of the program in the Children’s Section 15 minutes before the program begins.

Program schedule is subject to change. Contact the library 15 days in advance to request a sign language interpreter or if special accommodations are needed.
