Hawaiian Storytelling With Aunty May (Kahuku Hawaiian Cultural Series)

February 21, 2017 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

| Free
Hawaiian Kapuna dressed in kappa.

Join us for an evening of Hawaiian storytelling.  Our guest storyteller for this program will be the highly respected: May Au who will be sharing stories of Olelo Hawaii, specifically the Ko’olauloa region of Oahu (Kahuku to Kaaawa).  Hear the stories that were traditionally passed down orally from one Kapuna to another.

This program is appropriate for all ages.  Families are welcome and people are encouraged to bring friends to enjoy the art of storytelling and the wonderful lessons we can learn from them.

Program schedule is subject to change.  Contact the library at least 10 days in advance to request a sign language interpreter or if special accommodations are needed.
