North Kohala Public Library presents a Hana Hou! “talk story” session on Sugar and Ranching in Hawai’i, with local storyteller and historian Boyd Bond. On Monday, January 27 at 6:30 p.m., Bond will discuss how the fledgling Hawaiian economy began to adapt to the presence of wester markets, ranching and large scale sugar farming took hold in the islands.
