Join us at the Great American Read Cinema! We’re screening big-screen adaptations of select nominated books. Our second film is The Joy Luck Club, adapted from Amy Tan’s acclaimed modern classic. Check out the plot summary below.

“The Joy Luck Club tells the uplifting story of four remarkable friends whose extraordinary lives are filled with joy and heartbreak. Their lifelong friendship reveals a mosaic of the startling events and conditions that have shaped their lives — and how these experiences have affected the hopes and dreams they hold for each of their children.”

The screening will take place in the Meeting Room. Rated R. All patrons under 17 must be accompanied by an adult caregiver. Runtime 140 minutes. All films are screened with the subtitles on.
