Friends’ Lecture Series: A Journey to the Southern Ocean

March 6, 2019 @ 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm

Ship the National Geographic Explorer sailing the ice-strewn Southern Ocean with scientists on her deck

Our Friends of the North Shore Library at Princeville’s 2019 lecture series continues with Naturalist Elise Lockton.

Join us as Ms. Lockton shares some of her recent adventures exploring the Falkland Islands, South Georgia and the Antarctic Peninsula aboard the expedition ship National Geographic Explorer. These three distinct regions are not only difficult to get to but are complete with incredible wildlife, landscape and history. Come and be dazzled by this photographic journey as we explore the Southern Ocean.

All programs are subject to change. If you require an auxiliary aid or accommodation due to a disability, please contact the library at least 7 days before the program date.

This free event is made possible by the Friends of the North Shore Library at Princeville as part of the Dotty Nakea Memorial Speaker Program.
