Our Friday Matinee series continues with 2016 biopic Race. Check out the plot summary below!

“Legendary black Olympian Jesse Owens (Stephan James) competes in track and field at the 1936 Games in Nazi Germany, despite the host country’s attempts to turn the event into a celebration of national pride and Aryan supremacy.”

This program is sponsored by the Princeville Public Library and the Friends of the North Shore Library at Princeville. The film’s runtime is 134 minutes. Rated PG-13. Movie license provided by Swank Movie Licensing, U.S.A. The screening will take place in the Meeting Room. Patrons under 13 must be accompanied by an adult.

Please contact the hosting library 15 days in advance to request a sign language interpreter or if any special accommodations are needed.  The film will be screened with subtitles on. Mahalo!
