Learn how to support your elementary students’ growth as a reader at home! Ms. Rebecca Snowden, a 4th grade teacher at Kekaha Elementary, will share about strategies for choosing just-right books and the benefits of reading aloud to kids even after they can read on their own.
Then, families are invited to play games in the library. Refreshments will be provided courtesy of the Friends of Waimea Public Library.
This program is especially for upper elementary school students (Gr 3-5) and their grown-ups; however, older and younger siblings are welcome to participate as well. Registration is required–please sign up at the front desk or call the library.
Please note that all programs are subject to change or cancellation.
Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service for effective communication, or a modification of policies or procedures to participate in a program, service or activity should contact library staff as soon as possible. Advance requests 48 hours or more before the event are encouraged, but not required.
