September is Fall Prevention Month! Join us for a virtual program by Stan Michaels, a Senior Fall Prevention Specialist with the Hawai’i Department of Health. He will provide an anecdotal and humorous presentation on the realities of aging. Stan will discuss the increased risk of falls as a person’s mobility, hearing, vision, focus, and core cognitive skills deteriorate. He will also provide five strategies for kupuna to adopt and practice in order to reduce their risk of injury and/or death related to falls.
This one-hour Zoom program is suitable for adults, kupuna, and caregivers.
If you need an auxiliary aid/service or other accommodation due to a disability, please contact the library 7 days prior to the program date. We will make every attempt to fulfill all requests for accommodations. All programs are subject to change.
