September is Fall Prevention Month.
Stan Michaels is a Senior Fall Prevention Specialist with the Hawai‘i Department of Health. He will provide an anecdotal and humorous presentation on the realities of aging. Stan will discuss the increased risk of falls as a person’s mobility, hearing, vision, focus, and core cognitive skills deteriorates. He will also provide five strategies for kupuna to adopt and practice in order to reduce their risk of injury and/or death related to falls.
