TeenTober is a new, nationwide celebration hosted by libraries every October and aims to celebrate teens, technology, and libraries. Students in Grades 6-12 are invited to play the Emoji Pictionary Challenge at the Hawaii State Library. This is a fun game where players must guess the correct word or phrase based on a set of Emojis and pictures. Example: + = Cat in the Hat (book by Dr. Seuss). Game sheets can be picked up at the Young Adult Desk. Players receive a small prize for submitting a completed sheet to the teen librarian as well as an entry into the Grand Prize Drawing. Contest runs from October 1st to November 2nd. Visit or call the Young Adult Desk at 586-3490 for more information.
If you need an auxiliary aid/service or other accommodation due to a disability, please contact the library at least 7 days prior to the program date. We will make every attempt to fulfill all requests for accommodations. All programs are subject to change. For a list of upcoming library events, visit test-library.ehawaii.gov/events
