Dungeons and Dragons for Teens in Grades 6-12

January 3, 2020 @ 11:00 am - 1:00 pm

Dungeons and Dragons, or D&D, has been played in some form or another for 45 years. Characters in Stranger Things and She-Ra talk about it, and celebrities like Vin Diesel, Terry Crews and Stephen Colbert play it. Now you too can play D&D at Kailua-Kona Public Library! It’s a game of cooperative storytelling, led by the Dungeon Master who weaves a story filled with excitement and danger. The other players craft characters with unique strengths and must work together to succeed against all odds. If you like the thought of defeating dragons and bold adventure, but you’re not sure if it’ll be hard to learn, rest assured that an experienced Dungeon Master, Bryce Pierson, will be teaching and guiding the games for this free program. Teens in grades 6-12 with all skill levels are welcome! Bryce, who has way too many colorful dice, has been playing D&D and other games for over 15 years, and has led D&D games for large groups at conventions. Attendance is limited to 6 players on each day, please call or stop by the library to reserve your place. All you need to bring are a mechanical pencil and a notebook. Dice will be provided, or bring your own. Call now to save your spot!

If you need an auxiliary aid/service or other accommodation, due to a disability, please contact the library at least 7 days prior to the program date. We will make every attempt to fulfill all requests for accommodations. All programs are subject to change. For a list of upcoming library events, visit test-library.ehawaii.gov/events.
