Growing a Garden: Developing and Maintaining a Field or Orchard

Join us for the fourth and final installment of this fall’s Gardening Series with Ka`u farmer Ted Bennett!

This talk will touch on factors to consider in developing an orchard in Hawaii naturally or conventionally: starting rootstock, grafting, protecting with/against weeds, disease, and insects.

This 45 minute program is suitable for ages 8 and up.

Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service for effective communication, or a modification of policies or procedures to participate in a program, service, or activity should contact library staff as soon as possible. Advance requests 48 hours or more before the event are encouraged, but not required.
