Big Island Beekeepers, Iris Carter and Harry Holm, will provide us with the latest information on the importance of bees and the reasons and ways to protect them. Their organization of beekeepers, The Big Island Beekeepers Association, is dedicated to continuing education for beekeepers and the public on issues relating to bees, including ways to become a sustainable beekeeper. The presentation will contain information about the variety of honey flavors produced here in Hawai’i by local bees. Come learn how to attract these wonderful pollinators to your garden and to explore the possibility of becoming a beekeeper.
