If you’ve never opened your car owner’s manual or peeked under the hood of your car, this 2-hour workshop is for you. Learn to identify the parts under the hood, what they do, common issues that might arise, and very basic maintenance tips. Participants should bring their car owner’s manual and car to the workshop if possible.
Your car owner’s manual is your greatest resource! During the first part of the presentation, the instructor will walk attendees through where to find important information specific to their cars. Attendees will also practice identifying parts under the hood. The first part of the class will be held indoors in the Mānoa Public Library meeting room.
In the second part of the class, attendees will head out to the parking lot to take their knowledge to the next level by looking under the hood of their cars and learning some basic tips.
This class will be presented by Robert Silva Jr., Assistant Professor and Co-liaison at the Honolulu Community College Automotive Technology program.
